From performance to possibility: A new direction for Rayon

We’ve partnered with global lighting brand Rayon to redefine how it presents itself – developing a new brand strategy and bringing it to life through a refined visual identity and a practical toolkit of everyday assets. The aim of the project was simple: move the brand beyond describing products and towards expressing the impact of its work – creating a clearer, more confident and more consistent presence across every touchpoint.


A business with more to say

Like many in the light category, Rayon’s story had become anchored in the language of performance – accurate, but limiting. It focused on what the business produced rather than the role it played in shaping environments and experiences. Our job was to reframe that perspective. We developed a new brand idea, ‘Illuminating possibility’, as a way of capturing the broader value of what Rayon does – connecting technical capability with real-world impact.

Creating a system – not just a style

From there, we evolved the visual identity to better reflect that intent, using light as a deliberate device rather than just a subject, and built a flexible system that could be applied consistently across everything from presentations and brochures to wider communications, ensuring the brand worked as effectively day-to-day as it did in principle.

Built for everyday use

The result is a brand that feels more aligned with the business it represents. Clearer in what it stands for, more confident in how it shows up, and better equipped to communicate its value across different audiences and sectors. More importantly, it’s a brand that works – not just at a strategic level, but in the day-to-day reality of the business. A system that supports better conversations, more consistent outputs and stronger decision-making over time. Because ultimately, the role of the brand wasn’t just to look better. It was to help Rayon show, more convincingly and more consistently, what its work makes possible.
