FCC Environment
Building awareness for a vital business
FCC Environment is one of the UK’s largest waste and resource management companies. We’ve worked as FCC’s creative agency for approaching 15 years, acting as an extension of their marketing team to deliver consistently on-brand communications and materials – including ever-evolving photography, tactical marketing materials and corporate reporting.
It’s a partnership that’s been defined by ‘brand nudging’. By imaginatively reworking brand elements – a different but equally compelling challenge to creating brands from scratch – we’ve continually brought about freshness to FCC’s corporate communications without taking it through an extensive rebrand. Our work with FCC underpins Cubic’s status as a true cross-platform, full-service strategy and design studio.
The FCC brand is unrecognisable from when our partnership started, but in that time it’s not been through a brand refresh project. Instead, we’ve ‘nudged’ elements of the brand forward to ensure it remains modern, fresh and in-tune with the real world. This approach, which you can read more about here, has proved to be an efficient and cost-effective way of managing the brand – enabling it to benefit from the necessary ongoing evolution it requires.
Elements of the FCC brand hang together in a simple masterbrand-led system, but have the ability to be applied playfully at the right times. Internal campaigns, for example, have benefit from bespoke illustration being introduced that makes use of the core brand’s colours.
FCC’s commitment to sustainability is articulated through its ‘Our Environment. Our Responsibility.’ message and identifier. Applied across all communications that have a sustainability angle to them, we developed the elements to work seamlessly across all mediums and sizes – helping the brand reinforce and express its point of view.
“Cubic have delivered high quality work backed with exceptional service for nearly 15 years. They’re an invaluable, trusted partner that operates as a true extension of our team – often understanding our needs before we know them ourselves and offering us the support and creativity we require to constantly push our brand forward.”
