smartcanula is a medical device scale-up with a relentless pursuit of innovating and advancing cannula design and technology. Founded in 2004, but with significant ambitions to grow after forging new strategic partnerships, smartcanula recognised the need to evolve its brand to demonstrate a more grown up, modern and technical quality.
Through efficient design concepting, we created an evolved identity and look and feel for smartcanula that placed technical excellence at the forefront of its brand.
The simplified logo works neatly as a wordmark and as a standalone short-hand symbol – an important consideration to build equity for the brand.
The existing brand had little to no expression, so we built out the brand’s toolbox to include colourised product photography, stylised graphic treatments and an updated approach to typography.
